RE: Marketing Materials Sent It came! Hitting up the mall and downtown tomorrow. tt seems that others have already got theirs too...the site has grown in just a week! Where did all these people come from!?!
The candy idea is great! Are you having the wrappers or bags printed? We could save you on shipping costs if we were to purchase our own candy to fill bags. I am willing to do this(others might not be).
This is going to be fun.

Birthdays shouldn't be :( I am incredibly down on my luck this week. It seems to be going downhill each day. That just makes my upcoming birthday look more grim than celebratory.(January 30th)
I would love some Birthday cards to brighten my day. Of course, I wouldn't refuse gifts of anytype...like I said...I am incredibly down on my luck. Just a quick note would be super appreciated:)
I promise to give quick feedback and pictures to help anybody get validated.
Thanks for reading! I am looking for brighter days!

Marketing Tips and Stategies. Don't you hate it when you write an awesome post...and you aren't signed in. Argh!!
Here I go again...
When we do receive those marketing supplies, be sure to pick some "high traffic" areas to pass them out. Make a plan before going anywhere with your "stuff." If you have a few different days that you can use to hand out items personally...only take a limited number of items with you for each day. You will cover a broader range of people if you spread out your marketing days. If you pick one spot to hand them out...go back on different times and days of the week with more items.
Be prepared to answer questions about the site as you know it. Have a small testimony on how you have benefited from Favorlist...or how you have helped do your part. Try to have an example of both...seeing that basically, that is what the site is about.
Be energetic and excited!! You do not want to present an image of exhaustion and frustration...it just doesn't promote anything well. Try to look your best. Wear comfy shoes. Take along refreshments. Keep all of your personal items in one spot out of your "promotional area." If you don't have to worry about those simple things...you will have more of your mind on promoting your cause: Favorlist! :)
Always, always, always ask for permission first!! If you are promoting at businesses, they may have certain rules in place. Favorlist should be presented as "non-profit". As long as non-profit it mentioned..many businesses are more than willing to help out. Giant mass merchandisers(Walmart, Target, ect.) have solicitation rules. Ask a store manager what those rules are...if you get a good manager, they will have suggestions for you. Never, never, never lose your patience with anybody while on your mission. We want to keep the good name that Favorlist has so far.
Bulletin boards are generally free space. Use them!! If you see a space on a bulletin board..you have potential to reach over 20 people. Bulletin boards are everywhere: coffee shops, stores, hospitals, churches, colleges, restauraunts, ect. Keep tape with you at all times.
You could use events such as college games, fairs, craft fairs, various shows, and concerts to hand out your items. If you are asked to leave or stop handing out materials...do not object, just discontinue your mission without question...there will be other days. Again, we need to keep up a good name to help the site grow.
Travel in groups of two or more. After your first event, you will know why.
Hit the malls!! Try a Saturday. I dare you to go to a mall on Saturday at noon near the food court. I DARE YOU!
If you have other questions...please, send me a message. I will be more than happy to give you suggestions!
Lets watch Favorlist grow together!

RE: I'm addicted to Favorlist I get the happy feeling of contentment whenever I visit FavorList. There is so many possibilities with this site...all we need to do as members is help it grow. The one true thing that puts the spark in my day is helping others.
Granted, I need tremendous help myself. Nothing beats the true happiness that I get from making somebody's day a bit more splendid. Favorlist has been my place to go to see what I could do in time. Someday, I hope to be able to give to my full desire.
Stephen!! You are brilliant!! I am sure you had help with this!! Please give my appreciation to all of your "masterminds." I am grateful of your gratitude that you give when we(FavorList members) give you ideas. Acknowledgement is truly a forgotten gift. Thanks so much for that!!
Someday, you will be so insanely busy, that you will need a team just to help moderate the bazillion questions you will get each day. No fear, we will be here for you.
I am addicted.

"The only place that gives you points for favors. How will you spend them?"
"Do onto others..."
"The online Pay it Foward"---not really mine---I can direct you to the person that came up with that one.
"Making the world a better place, one favor at a time."
"How can I help you?" "How can you help me?"
"Favorlist.com...Make someone's day:)" "Favorlist.com...Help make someone's day:)"

Promotional Material? When are the Favor List stickers, cards, and other items being printed and distibuted? I know you guys have thought about doing this....right?
I am more than willing to be part of a street team right here in Minneapolis. I am sure that you would have many others willing to do the same in other cities.
The biggest thing I have seen here are the very nice postcard-sized advertisements that have a glossy finish. Printed freebies are always a huge attraction. I suggest promotional packs of tissues for the northern states during this nice cold season...those would be a huge favor to anybody walking around Minneapolis.
I am sure it would be worth it!
Can I be a part of your thinking team?
