Details:my bfs ex has custody of their 5 kids, minnesota default law, they werent married, custody goes to the mother, dad has no rights until he opens a custody case, which we can't afford to even pay the 300 dollar filing fee, the kids's mother is on meth, we have police reports of her admitting to it, she openly admits to it, child protection got involved but she refused services so they dropped the investigation because she refused chemical dependency, also have a letter stating that from cps. Cps told us to file an order for protection, which we did, the judge said it was neglect not abuse that we cant file an order for protection. so that got threw out the window, legal aid told us when we went in to file for emergency custody, that if it was an emergency child protection would have took the kids out of the home. Their lights have been off for over a month, they have no food at her apt, her child support money goes to meth, there's a purple box in her closet with pipes and needles and possibly drugs, but NO ONE is willing to do anything, we are doing eveything that we can to atleast get the children out of them home, but without the funds to file the custody case fees, it feels like we're running in circles trying to protect these kids but can't. donations, information, anything will be really helpful and very appreciated.
